Barbecue Goodness

I love the sight of a table full of summer barbecue and side dishes. Most of the food looks delicious and edible to me. Occasionally, I see food that makes me vomit.

I love the grilled meat! The barbecue chicken with the blackened grill marks, the pork ribs with juicy red bbq sauce and the hamburgers with pink inside. It makes my mouth water.

I can't wait to see the yellow corn on the cob just off the grill. The kernels slightly wrinkled from the heat. Seeing it makes me almost able to taste the sweetness.

Oh the desserts! The ladies who cook try to outdo themselves with the beauty of their cakes and pies. I love the decorated cakes and golden crust on the pie.

Some food looks disgusting. Like deviled eggs left out in the sun too long and the yolks get a darker yellow look to them that just screams "salmonella". Beets always look disgusting to me because I can't stand the taste and seeing them reminds me how awful they are.

Some food might not look so good but for the most part, a table full of summer barbecue food looks like what summer is all about: grilling and fresh vegetables and fun.
