It's Mother's Day. The day everyone runs out and buys chocolates, cards, plants, flowers, or whatever they think their Mom will like. In fact, I was one of those that waited until the last minute this year and woke up at 6:00 a.m., went out to the local WalMart store and purchased my Mom an outdoor solar flower with a hummingbird fluttering around on it. I also bought my daughter a box of chocolates with a nice card.
Why do we do this only one day of the year though? Shouldn't we be treating our Mothers special any time of year? They do so much for us and we should reward them for being there for us
Why not go over and cut her grass for her so she doesn't have to do it? Or cook her a meal. It would mean so much to her if someone did this for her. Or, if you live too far away from her, even sending her an email or calling her everyday and saying hello and asking her if she needs anything, would make her happy. It doesn't have to be much.
Everyday should be Mother's Day because of the sacrifices that she gave for you as you were growing up and learning, and discovering, and contemplating decisions that could have gotten you in trouble, but she was always there to steer you right again.
Think about things you can do to help your Mother out and to make her happy. Every Mother is unique and has their own way of dealing with their children, so do the thing that you know will make your Mother extremely happy and proud of you. Sometimes just being there to sit with her and talk to her would make her day! Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most. She's the only Mother you have.
