I have always been able to count on my Grandmother. She was always there whenever I needed her. Whether it was watching me because my parents were out of town, or making sure I had some homemade cookies, my grandma would provide for me. My grandma died last week, and I miss her terribly. But just like always, she has found a way to take care of me. I just left the lawyers office where the will was read and found out that she left me $100,000. She knew that although I had a job and was doing okay financially, that the money was needed.
I have a wife and two kids, and we bought our house a few years ago. The kids are in catholic schools which are not cheap, but the education is worth it. I am going to take the money that my grandma left me and pay off the mortgage for our home. This is our largest bill every month, and paying it off will ensure that we will always have a roof over our head. My grandma knew that security is important to me, and with her last gesture, she has once again given me what I need. It might be the last physical thing she will give me. I know that it is not the last emotional thing she will give me. I love my grandmother and will never forget her.
