The day I found out my soul was rotting was the same you did. I've always been so sweet, so accepting. But on that day everything altered- because I learned the power of words and decided to tear you apart. I suppose you could call it payback- payback for a crime committed far too long ago. Your clear eyes filled with tears, shaking your head as if it wasn't real. As if I would apologize any second.
You're still waiting for that apology, I bet.
See, the trouble is you stole him from me, remember? I had finally, FINALLY, gotten him, and then you popped in out of nowhere and claimed his heart for yourself. I didn't say a word; in fact, I asked you to make him happy for me. After all, you were my best friend.
Things were getting serious between you two, when all of a sudden he confessed to me, leaving you behind. Instead of simply accepting, I realized I had to break you. I disn't need those sweet reassuring words of yours; I needed your hate. I needed to be bitten by your poison, recipient of your wrath I attacked you for all of your weaknesses. And as soon as you slapped me and vanished, the first thing I did was smile.
I deserve your hate. I deserve your anger, your resentment. And now, at last I have it.
