Summertime in Other Places

Summer where I live means boating, going to the cabin, hanging out and mosquitos. If I lived in the desert, summer would probably be similar to what it is all year round. It would be hot and dry. There wouldn't really be a change between winter and summer. I would have to be very careful about making sure I was hydrated and had enough sun screen. I would also have to watch out for dust storms.

If I lived on an island I imagine that summer might bring either hurricanes or lots of bugs depending on which island I lived on. The temperature might be around the same as year round. I could go surfing in the summer and might have to deal with tourists.

If I lived on the top of a mountain I can imagine it wouldn't snow as much in the summer. It might still snow since I would be so high up, but the weather would be warmer. The top of a mountain would be quieter and i would be able to be alone with nature. Different animals might be around during the summer too.

If I lived in Alaska, I imagine that the daylight would stay longer and it wouldn't be snowing. The temperatures would be warm and maybe some rain showers. There would be more tourists because no body wants to go to Alaska when it is winter. There would be more fun outdoor stuff to do because it wouldn't be so cold.

Overall I would rather live where I live than any of these places. I like experiencing the seasons and love to feel the warm sunshine on my face. I like to hang out outside and do outdoorsy stuff. I like how where I live we don't get much threatening weather. Thunderstorms are also awesome in the summer.
